As the province accelerated the construction of the global advanced manufacturing base conference, on the morning of May 18, the completion ceremony of the completion of the second phase of the Changshan tapered roller bearing and cylindrical roller bearing manufacturing base was held in Changshan. This marks that Changshan has become one of the world's important bearing production bases in SKF Group, providing high-quality and efficient bearing products for the world's machinery manufacturing industry.

Guests attending the ceremony include Werner Hoffmann, Chief Financial Officer of China and Northeast Asian District, Shi Bo, Vice President of SKF China, as well as lead. In his speech, Shi Bo thanked Quzhou City and Changshan County for his long-term support for SKF Enterprise.

The completion of the second phase of the project marks the comprehensive improvement of SKF China's production and manufacturing capabilities. The products of the Changshan base will efficiently and environmentally friendly meet the domestic market needs and export them to all parts of the world. SKF will continue to introduce advanced manufacturing technology and innovative talents, promote the transformation and upgrading of the industry in the direction of high-tech and high value-added, and make greater contributions to the industrial economic development of Luzhou and Changshan.

Zhou Yu, chairman of the China Bearing Industry Association, congratulated the completion of the second phase of the SKF project and thanked SKF for their contributions to the development of the China bearing industry. At the ceremony, SKF's customer representatives delivered a speech. SKF China signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Fengshang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and SEW China. The guests also gave a lecture on "digitalization of the full value chain". The launching ceremony and the finishing touch ceremony were held at the scene, marking the official completion of the second phase of the SKF Changshan tapered roller bearing.

It is understood that the annual output value of the second phase of the project reaches 40 million sets of rolling bearing, which is an important strategic measure for SKF's market in China and Northeast Asia. These bearing products are widely used in new energy vehicles, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, mechanical transmission, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, medical care and other industries, which will further consolidate SKF as the world's leading bearing supplier. The project was signed in March 2022 and started construction in April. The total investment was 810 million yuan, covering an area of 110 acres, and 36 production channels were constructed.
